Why Is My Home So Dusty?
Do you dust your home only to find it dusty again a few hours later? Is dust randomly collecting in an excessive amount? If you have a problem with dust in your home there are a few reasons we can look at to determine the root of the problem.
#1 You’re using the wrong filter or not changing it properly: If you are using a low quality filter this could be one of the culprits to your dusty home. When filters have a higher MERV rating they’re better equip to block out dust and other contaminants from entering your living space. It is also important to regularly charge your filter. Even if you have a good quality filter, if you still forget to change it as recommended you won’t be helping yourself much. It’s recommended to change your filter every 1-3 months depending on your current situation. A clean filter is a happy filter! Stop by our office today and pick up your next batch of filters. A discount will be applied when you purchase 3 at a time.
#2 You aren’t using the thermostat trick: Did you know there’s a thermostat trick you can use while cleaning your home? It’s true! When dusting your home simply switch the fan toggle from auto to on. This little trick will help from dust particles becoming airborne and later returning back to your furniture.
